Angel Lake began when Carand Burnet took a cross-country road trip and visited Angel Lake in northeastern Nevada. Sitting at 8,500 feet in elevation, the alpine lake overlooks panoramic views of the Ruby Mountains. Burnet became inspired by the area and named her solo project in honor of this special place. Angel Lake’s debut album, Sound Altar, combines guitar and sitar with electronic drums and sound loops. Overall, Sound Altar has a daydream-like mood made of spacious reverberations.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Carand Burnet.
